My Pick of the Best Outdoor Cushions
Cushions, so many cushions, I’m running out of sofa room!
‘But what do you do with the cushions?!’ My most asked question. If I had a pound for every time I’ve been asked I could buy a helluva lot more cushions, I’m telling you!
Anyway, If you don’t know and haven’t read this then the answer is; if it’s going to rain I bring them inside, where they either go on our sofas, in a cupboard or in the summer house. Not ideal and at times of bad weather we do have a lot of cushions on our sofas! So if you would rather avoid the excess cushion in the house predicament, outdoor cushions are the way to go!
No more dashing around when a suprise rain shower hits, no worries about where to store them. They can be left out. Amazing! They will generally have a coating applied to protect them against moisture, soil and mould so can be left out overnight and through the odd rain shower. They’ll still need storing away through the winter though and also during any prolonged periods of damp weather.
The main issue I’ve found with them though is just finding nice ones! Just like my interior decor I want my garden accessories to look good and fit in with my style. There are a lot around with jazzy palm leaf designs or deck chair bright stripes so if that’s your bag cushion wise you’re sorted. If not and you want something a little more muted perhaps or just a little bit different from generic garden themed decor then read on.

Extra Large Outdoor Cushion. Signature Homewares £24.99 - Comes in a variety of colours and a good size this one at 100cm by 150cm so ideal as a back seat cushion on an outdoor sofa.
Natural Raffia cushion. Josie’s Interiors £19.99 Not strictly an outdoor cushion but I find seagrass/raffia to be pretty hardy and can handle the odd night left out in a rain shower. Not one to leave out through lots of rain though, but it sure looks pretty!
Barca Cushion. Benuta £21.95 - My favourite out of this selection and ‘may’ have found it’s way into my basket! I think taking a closer look this is more of an indoor/outdoor cushion so not waterproof just the type of hardy weave that can take the odd bit of rain and bashing about!

Recycled Bora Tufted outdoor cushion. Next £20 - Another favourite and one I’d happily have indoors or out.
Reversible Zig Zag cushion. Matalan £10 - A cool monochrome print and bargain price to boot!
Dora Orange Outdoor Cushion. Oh So Kel £18.95 - A lovely bright print for all you colour lovers, I love a splash of orange in my outdoor textiles amongst the greenery.
